The 2025 Women in Harmony Awards, held during Essence Festival weekend, was a powerful celebration of legacy, leadership, and excellence. Powered by the National Urban League, this unforgettable event honored three dynamic women who continue to shift culture and inspire generations: music icon Patti LaBelle, acclaimed writer and producer Mara Brock Akil, and rising political powerhouse Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, the event brought out a star-studded crowd and served as both a tribute and a sanctuary for powerful women to connect, uplift, and pour into one another. Attendees were treated to a luxury experience from the moment they arrived.
One of the standout features of the event was the Women in Harmony Beauty Bar, which offered complimentary glam sessions, skin consultations, and touch-ups from some of the top beauty professionals in the industry. Guests also browsed a curated marketplace of Black-owned vendors, showcasing everything from skincare and fashion to wellness products and artisan goods.
The room was filled with influential women (and men) who came to celebrate the honorees and the mission. Notables in attendance included Crystal Renee, Marlo Hampton, and a host of media personalities, tastemakers, and industry leaders who made the event an unforgettable highlight of Essence Fest weekend.
With live music, powerful tributes, and an undeniable sense of sisterhood in the air, the Women in Harmony Awards set a new standard for honoring Black excellence in a way that was both elegant and empowering.
