"Culture’s Biggest Night" returned to the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this past weekend, but if you were anywhere near the Media Girls Network crew, you would have thought the entire event had been relocated to the A.

We had the absolute pleasure of taking 10 incredible women to the heart of the action for the 2026 BET Awards. From the fan fest and exclusive media house activations to the most sought-after private parties, our goal was simple: to give these rising stars a front-row seat to the magic that happens when ambition meets opportunity.

The ATL Takeover
There was no denying the energy this year, Atlanta was unequivocally in the building. The tone was set from the very first moment the show kicked off, with T.I. taking the stage to open the ceremony. Seeing the King of the South own that stage to perform tracks from his new album, Kill the King, was a masterclass in stage presence and a proud moment for all of us.
The momentum didn't stop once the cameras went off. The private circuit was just as heavy on that signature Atlanta flavor. We rolled deep to Bow Wow’s party, which felt less like a standard industry event and more like a high-octane Verzuz 2.0. With heavy hitters like Pleasure P, Spectacular, and Travis Porter in the building, the atmosphere was electric. It was truly an ATL function brought to the West Coast, proving once again that Atlanta’s influence on the culture is unmatched.
A Birthday Celebration to Remember
Beyond the industry highlights and networking, our trip was underscored by a very special milestone: celebrating the birthday of our fearless CEO, Jelisa Raquel.

There is no better way to honor a leader who pours so much into the next generation of media talent than by surrounding her with the "biggest night in culture." Seeing our group of 10 women thriving, networking, and soaking in the reality of their career dreams was the ultimate birthday gift and a testament to the mission Jelisa has built with Media Girls Network.
Why This Matters
For the women of the Media Girls Network, this trip wasn't just about the parties or the guest list—it was about exposure. Being in the room where decisions are made, seeing the production value of the fan fest, and navigating the exclusive circles of the BET Awards weekend provides a blueprint for what is possible.
We left Los Angeles not just with content and connections, but with a renewed fire to continue shaping the future of media. Atlanta may have dominated the weekend, but the Media Girls are ready to dominate what’s next.
