About The Event
The Black Media & Entertainment Weekend Ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol is a celebration recognizing the contributions, achievements, and cultural impact of Black professionals across Georgia’s media and entertainment industries.
The ceremony brings together filmmakers, actors, musicians, journalists, writers, producers, media professionals, creatives, and industry leaders to highlight the people helping shape Georgia’s growing entertainment and media landscape. Held at the Capitol, the event also creates an opportunity to connect the creative community with civic and state leadership.
At its core, the ceremony is about recognition, representation, networking, and creating greater visibility for Black talent and businesses in Georgia’s media and entertainment ecosystem.
Celebrating the voices that shape our culture! 🎙️✨ Join us for Black Media and Entertainment Day at the Capitol as we honor the trailblazers, storytellers, and creatives who elevate Black narratives. From journalism to film, music to digital media—today, we recognize the power of representation.
